Kids in the pool....

Today my daughter and I both were excited! She wanted to show me that she can swim….for last three years I was trying that she should learn swimming but she was so scared…like mother like daughter!
I don’t know swimming and for this matter I didn’t want her to be like me! But for her refusal to learn I gave up…..

This year she had been at her cousin’s place for few days. All her cousins used to go to the pool there …...she was the only one to be at the pool side watching them…she decided that she won’t allow her cousins to have fun without her! She decided to learn so she did!

She came back to me and I wanted to see her swim!
I enjoyed one hour at the pool….and this is what I saw there…....

Kids were there in the swimming pool,
Learning to swim with the “float” tool!

Blue, yellow, green and red,
Beautiful costumes with various shades!

Four, five, six….eight ,ten years old,
Some were shy, others were bold!

Some were energetic, others were lazy,
Some were dull, others were crazy!

Tiny pretty princess, sweet and cute!
That chirpy little girl, refused to be mute!!

The sweet little boy, worried and crying,
The trainer came shouting, “why you not trying?

Come on kid! Relax, be cool!
Don’t hide there, don’t make me fool!!”

Time and again, comes his turn!
Boy O boy! He was so scared to learn!!

“Few days later you will win!”
The trainer encouraged him, holding his chin!

All in all joy was beaming,
Kids were happy with playful swimming!

Like ducks or turtles or fishes do!

These “aquatic kids” can swim too!!
---------

One thing I would like to add that some parents just force their kids to learn. I was sad to see little kids in tears while their parents scolding them…they should give some time to the kids..let them enjoy to learn……
